Tachograph download without extra hardware
No download key, no card reader in the cab and no box a technician has to fit. The smart tachograph has Bluetooth built in, and the VYS Tacho app uses exactly that connection.

What you no longer need
For years, downloading meant a download key, a cable or a permanently fitted module. That costs money, it has to be in the right truck at the right time, and someone has to remember it.

What you do need
A smart tachograph with Bluetooth and a device in the cab with the VYS Tacho app. That device can be a phone, but also a tablet or an on-board computer.

- A phone, tablet or on-board computer with Bluetooth and internet
- For the vehicle unit: a company card, at the office, in our card hotel or in the tachograph
Enough for the legal obligation
The app delivers the same DDD file as a download key: the official file with the tachograph's digital signature. That meets the download obligation, with nothing added.
- Driver card: at least every 28 days, the app does it every 24 hours by default
- Vehicle unit: at least every 90 days
- The signature is checked and stays intact
Frequently asked questions
Does this really work without a download key?
Yes. The smart tachograph has Bluetooth on board. The VYS Tacho app connects to it and fetches the file the same way a download key does, only wirelessly.
Does anything have to be fitted in the truck?
No. No box, no cable and no module goes into the vehicle.
