Downloading the VDO DTCO 4.1 via Bluetooth
The VDO DTCO 4.1 has Bluetooth on board. The VYS Tacho app uses it to download the driver card and the vehicle unit, without a download key.
Patent pending Patent protection has been applied for on technology in the VYS Tacho apps.
Pairing
You start pairing in the tachograph menu, with the driver card inserted. A six-digit code appears on the phone and on the display, and you confirm it. You do this once.
What the app downloads
With a VDO the company card can stay elsewhere. The app then fetches 90 days from the vehicle unit; with the company card in the tachograph itself, 28 days.
- Driver card: automatically, every 4 to 48 hours
- Vehicle unit remotely: 90 days in about four minutes
- A DTCO 4.1b allows 24 remote authentications per day
VDO only
With a VDO you can also add the mobile tacho, Tach'oClock, Tacho to Rest and remote control.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work with every VDO?
With the VDO DTCO 4.1, the smart tachograph with Bluetooth. Older tachographs without their own Bluetooth do not.
